Business FAQ

Straight answers about cost, commitment, the drivers, and what you actually get.

Cost and commitment

What does it cost?

It depends on the vehicle: its age, its condition, and how far it actually drives each week. Typical monthly prices are around $210 for an older or lower-mileage car, around $264 for most vehicles, and around $374 for the newest cars with the highest mileage. Most vehicles fall in that middle group.

Every listing shows its own exact price before you select it, so there is nothing to negotiate and no quote to wait for.

On top of that there is a one-time $60 kit fee covering the printed material and the install kit we ship to the driver. If you want us to design the ad, that is $50, or you can design it yourself in our builder for free.

How long am I committed for?

Three months minimum. That clock starts when your campaign goes live, which means the day we approve the driver's installation photo, not the day you sign.

After the minimum term you can end it with 30 days written notice to adam@marketmymobile.com. Monthly fees continue through that notice period.

Do longer commitments cost less?

Yes. 7% off the monthly rate at six months, 10% off at twelve. The kit fee is the same $60 either way, since one kit ships regardless of how long the campaign runs.

When am I actually billed?

Not until your ad is on the road. Your first monthly payment and the one-time kit fee are invoiced together at go-live, which is the day we approve the driver's installation photo. Invoices come through Stripe with a 7-day payment term, and recurring payments are invoiced on that same calendar date each month.

If you elect our design service, that $50 is invoiced separately after the contract is signed.

Can I get a refund?

Fees are non-refundable once a campaign has gone live, except where the law requires otherwise. The exception is a vehicle becoming unavailable partway through, covered further down this page.

The driver and the vehicle

Do I get to choose which vehicle?

Yes. You browse available vehicles and pick the one you want. Each listing shows the car itself, its color and type, the area it is based in, and roughly how many miles it covers in a week, so you are choosing a specific car rather than buying into a pool.

One thing to be clear about: you choose the vehicle, not the route. A driver drives wherever their life takes them, and we do not direct them.

How do you vet drivers?

Every driver has to meet all of the following before a campaign goes live:

  • At least 25 years of age
  • A valid, unexpired South Carolina driver's license
  • No DUI, DWI, or reckless driving convictions in the past 7 years
  • Fewer than 2 minor traffic violations in the past 5 years
  • The primary driver of the listed vehicle, 80% or more of its usage
  • Active auto insurance meeting South Carolina minimums, maintained for the whole campaign
  • A vehicle in good or excellent condition with no major visible damage

We also run a Motor Vehicle Record check through Checkr, a licensed background-check provider, once a driver is matched to a campaign and before it goes live. We review the vehicle's photos ourselves before it is ever listed.

What happens if the driver quits partway through?

We notify you and propose a comparable substitute vehicle. Nothing is swapped without your written consent.

If we cannot agree on a replacement within 10 business days, either side can end the agreement with no further liability for the remaining term, and we refund any prepaid fees covering the period that was not delivered. The same applies if the vehicle is damaged or the driver's insurance lapses.

Can I contact the driver directly?

No, and this is deliberate on both sides. Everything about the campaign goes through us. It keeps the driver's personal details private, and it means you have one place to raise anything rather than negotiating with a stranger about their own car.

The ad itself

Who designs it?

You or us, whichever you prefer. There is a free ad builder in your portal if you want to do it yourself, or we will design it for $50. If you supply your own artwork, it needs to reach us within 5 business days of signing, and a delay there does not shorten the minimum term.

How big is the ad, and where does it go?

It goes on the rear window. Standard sizes are 24 by 15 inches on a sedan, coupe, hatchback or truck, and 30 by 18 inches on an SUV, minivan or crossover.

Where a driver has measured their own glass, we print to that exact size instead, so the ad fits the car properly rather than being dropped on in a standard rectangle.

Will the printed colors match my brand exactly?

Close, but not exactly, and it is worth saying so up front. Printing is four-color process (CMYK), and some colors on a screen fall outside what that can reproduce, particularly highly saturated blues and purples. On-screen previews are approximations.

Normal variation within CMYK tolerances is not treated as a defect. If exact color matching matters a great deal to you, tell us before artwork is approved and we will talk through what is realistic.

Is there anything I cannot advertise?

Yes. No adult or sexually suggestive content, alcohol, tobacco, cannabis or vaping products, political campaigns or candidates, gambling, hate speech, false or misleading claims, unauthorized medical claims, or anything illegal.

Every ad also carries a clearly visible "Paid Advertisement" label, which the law requires.

Results and reporting

How many people will see it?

We are not going to give you an impressions number, because nobody can measure that honestly on a moving car.

What we can give you is the traffic on the roads these cars drive, counted by SCDOT with physical sensors in 2024. Median vehicles per day: SC-31 Carolina Bays Parkway 34,000. US-17 Kings Highway and Bypass 29,100. SC-544 28,900. US-501 28,400. SC-707 Socastee and Dick Pond 27,800. You can look every one of those up yourself.

Those are road counts, not impressions. They run both directions, and a rear-window ad is only visible to traffic behind the car going the same way. We would rather hand you a number you can check than one the industry invented.

Do you guarantee results?

No, and anyone who does is guessing. We make no guarantee of any specific advertising outcome, impressions, or customer response. What we guarantee is what we control: a vetted driver, a real vehicle you chose, the ad printed and installed properly, and confirmation before you are billed a cent.

What reporting do I get?

We verify the driver's installation and send you confirmation before the campaign goes live, and we provide monthly campaign activity summaries on request.

Getting started

What actually happens after I sign up?

You browse available vehicles, pick one, and choose a term. We review the request, typically within 48 hours. You sign a contract before anything is printed or installed. Then we print the ad, ship the kit to the driver, and they install it and send us a photo. Once we approve that photo the campaign is live and billing starts.

Does signing up commit me to anything?

No. Creating an account lets you browse real vehicles and real prices. Nothing is committed until you submit a campaign request and sign a contract, and nothing is billed until your ad is actually on a car.

How is this different from wrapping a vehicle?

A full wrap runs roughly $2,500 to $6,000 on one vehicle you own, and you are committed to it until you pay to have it removed. This is a few hundred a month on a car you do not own, insure, or maintain, cancellable after three months.

They are not really the same product. A wrap is a capital purchase. This is advertising you can stop.

Where do you operate?

The Grand Strand only, for now. Georgetown up to Little River, over to Conway, and everywhere in between.
