A local, family-run company from Murrells Inlet, built to help the Grand Strand.
Hi, I'm Adam, the founder of Market My Mobile.
I've called the Grand Strand home for most of my life. My family moved here from Northern Virginia when I was 11, and aside from a couple of years in Richmond, Virginia (where I quickly learned I loathe being landlocked), I've been here ever since.
I went to Waccamaw schools, spent my last two years of high school at the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts studying opera and voice, and then headed to the College of Charleston.
After college I served as a police officer in the Charleston area before moving into management consulting. Today I run my own consulting firm. Different careers, but the same thread runs through all of them: I like solving real problems for real people, and I care about doing it the right way.
Market My Mobile is an idea I've been turning over for more than a decade. I kept coming back to the same question. How do we help local businesses get noticed without sending their advertising dollars to a national platform, and how do we put some of that money back in the pockets of the people who actually live here?
MMM is my answer. We connect local businesses with local drivers. A business's ad goes on the glass of local cars that are already out on our roads, so the business gets seen right here at home, and the driver earns for the miles they were driving anyway.
Businesses get seen. Drivers get paid. And the money stays local. To me it's a simple idea with a bigger purpose: a way for local businesses and local families to benefit from each other.
Honestly, I started seeing it everywhere. When I'm driving around town and look at the back window of a car, I don't just see a blank piece of glass anymore. I see an opportunity for the local community.
I live in Murrells Inlet with my wife, who's a nurse, and our two kids, who are growing up here just like I did. My parents live here too, so this really is a family thing.
When I'm not working, you'll probably find me at the beach, out on the river, flying my drone, playing guitar, or spending time with my family, which also includes Dolly, our French Bulldog, three cats, and a fish.
That's why Market My Mobile is a local, family-run company and not a faceless app. When you sign up, whether you're a business looking to advertise or a driver looking to earn, you're dealing with me, right here in the community. No call center three time zones away. Just a local business owner trying to build something good for the place I've called home most of my life.
If you ever want to put a face to the name, reach out. I'm always glad to answer questions, talk through how it works, or swing by and say hello.
